About Us
Our Brief History
Madrasah Al-Ma’arif Al-Islamiah was founded by Almarhum Kiyai Sheikh Muhammad Fadhlullah Suhaimi in 1936 and was situated at Tanjong Katong Road.
It was relocated at No. 14, Ipoh Lane in 1939 on a piece of wakaf land donated by Allahyarham Sheikh Omar Bamadhaj.
In 1987, Madrasah Al-Ma’arif Al-Islamiah was rebuilt to accommodate more students and since 2007, another relocation was made to a new building at No. 3 Lorong 39 Geylang, which is also a wakaf property.

We are delighted to welcome you to Madrasah Al-Ma’arif Al-Islamiah, where our mission is to nurture and develop our students into future Muslimah leaders who are intellectually progressive while firmly grounded in Islamic values.
Our goal is to equip them to contribute meaningfully to the Ummah and remain actively engaged in their communities. Every student is important to us at Al-Ma’arif, and we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment built on positive relationships. We recognize each student as an individual with unique talents, interests, strengths, and needs.

Our curriculum and programs emphasize the holistic development of each Muslimah, encompassing knowledge acquisition, confidence-building, and the skills needed to adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of the 21st century.
