Madrasah Application Exercise for Admission to Primary 1 in 2020
Open for children born on or between 2 January 2013 and 1 January 2014. Open for Singapore Citizen and Singapore PR only.
Application Period
23 March 2019 (Saturday) – 5 April 2019 (Friday)
Saturday: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
Weekdays: 10.00 am – 2.00 pm.
All application is strictly via online form.
Entrance Test
P1 Joint Entrance Test Day: 13 April 2019.
Appeal Period
Appeal Period: 20 to 25 May 2019.
Registration
Registration Exercise: 1 June 2019 (subject to changes).
Successful applicants are to register with their choice of madrasah on the registration day.
Required Documents
Of Applicant (Child)
- Child’s birth certificate; and Certificate of Citizenship (if applicable)
- Deferment Letter from Ministry of Education (if applicable)
- Kindergarten Progress report
- Immunisation Report at Health Booklet page 57 and 58
- Medical Report (if any)
- Kindergarten development progress booklet
Of Parents
- Identification Card of Both Parents or/and Guardians (if any)
- Other related documents: Marriage, divorce, custody, death, adoption etc certificates/papers
- For application made by guardian, please bring along:
- an authorisation letter from the parents; or;
- the Marriage Certificate of step-parents (where applicable).
Submission of Required Documents and Payment
To ensure that the application form is duly completed and accepted, please send us these documents and $20.00 (non-refundable) administrative fee latest by Friday, 5 April 2019 (by 2.00 pm).
- By coming down personally to Madrasah Al-Ma’arif Al-Islamiah.
- There is no photocopy service in Madrasah Al-Ma’arif, therefore, you are required to make a copy before coming to the School.
- Payment mode: Cash or NETS.
Results
- Applicants will be informed of the results of their application through post or email in the second week of May 2019.
- The Madrasah’s decision is final.
- For unsuccessful applicants, please ensure that the child/ward is registered in a national school as required by the Compulsory Education Act (Cap 51).
